The Earnest Sewn Co. to Collaborate with T-Tech by Tumi for Spring 2012 Tote

NEW YORK – January 26, 2012 –  Premium denim clothier, The Earnest Sewn Co., and T-Tech by Tumi, the trend-focused travel lifestyle brand, have teamed up to celebrate their respective expertise in denim and bag design to create a utilitarian waxed cotton and selvage denim bag. Launching April 2012, the collaborative tote will be available at select The Earnest Sewn Co. retail stores in New York and California for $125. Organized pockets, an exclusive T-Tech Essential Gear logo and the convenience of Tumi Tracer® Product Recovery Program are packed inside this carryall.   The daily use and natural wear creates custom markings on the waxed cotton material, allowing the user to define the look of the bag.

“By using waxed cotton, the launch of the new T-Tech by Tumi line shows a similar aesthetic to Earnest Sewn,” says Benjamin Talley Smith, Creative Director of The Earnest Sewn Co. “We worked with them to draw in some Earnest detailing by using our unique Japanese selvage and signature thread detailing. Beginning February 7th, T-Tech by Tumi will launch a shop-in-shop in The Earnest Sewn Co. NYC Meatpacking location for six months. Built with the same innovative design excellence as the T-Tech by Tumi product, the in-store presentation is modeled after reclaimed wood and wrought iron metal materials. This 250 square-foot Gallery space will showcase a selection of travel, business and day bag collections, along with tech accessories and outerwear.
