Starting this month, Earnest Sewn's off-priced 300 square foot Outpost will embrace their full-priced retail store at the Malibu Country Mart with discontinued pieces from past seasons at prices as low as $99.00. "We always pride ourselves in doing something different, and no one at the Malibu Country Mart is doing this," says Retail Director, Brandon Gladden. Launching April 2012, the collaborative tote will be available at select The Earnest Sewn Co. retail stores in New York and California for $125. Organized pockets, an exclusive T-Tech Essential Gear logo and the convenience of Tumi Tracer® Product Recovery Program are packed inside this carryall.   The daily use and natural wear creates custom markings on the waxed cotton material, allowing the user to define the look of the bag.

“By using waxed cotton, the launch of the new T-Tech by Tumi line shows a similar aesthetic to Earnest Sewn,” says Benjamin Talley Smith, Creative Director of The Earnest Sewn Co. “We worked with them to draw in some Earnest detailing by using our unique Japanese selvage and signature thread detailing. Beginning February 7th, T-Tech by Tumi will launch a shop-in-shop in The Earnest Sewn Co. NYC Meatpacking location for six months. This 250 square-foot Gallery space will showcase a selection of travel, business and day bag collections, along with tech accessories and outerwear.

NEW YORK- September 29, 2011- Earnest Sewn will launch a Limited Edition "Golden Ticket" jean in conjunction with the opening of the Fashion Island Store in Newport Beach tomorrow. The jean, called the “Newport,” will be a sophisticated over dye black micro flare jean, the first of its style for Earnest Sewn. It will be the debut of Earnest Sewn’s “Golden Ticket” capsule collection that uses 24K gold buttons, rivets and a gold foil screen print. This jean will be made in a limited edition of 50pcs at $198 each, specifically for the store launch on September 30th .  
The "Golden Ticket" concept is something Smith plans to introduce going forward starting with the “Newport” jean. The concept is based on Earnest Sewn delivering one specific jean each season using this hardware as a specialty item for a luxury market. This concept was introduced in Earnest Sewn’s first ever season: one jean in every cut of 1000pcs was snuck in with gold hardware and Smith has now evolved this idea by designing a limited edition “Golden Ticket” jean every season. Smith says, “The ‘Newport’ jean will be the first “Golden Ticket” jean and will be the launch of an Earnest Sewn micro flare. I think it’s the perfect jean for the Fashion Island customer and should be a great launch of this new fit. I’m excited to bring something new to the market with the added value of the “Golden Ticket” packaging."

 As the new Creative Director for Earnest Sewn, Benjamin Talley Smith’s initiative is to develop and grow Earnest Sewn women’s collection with improved fit and innovative washes while spearheading collaborations, similar to the current design partnership with Lacoste. Earnest Sewn To Open Its Second West Coast Store in Newport Beach, California’s Fashion Island


LOS ANGELES- August 31, 2011- Following the continued success of the brands concept/lifestyle flagship store in New York’s Meatpacking district, Lower East side and Malibu, CA locations, The Earnest Sewn Co. is opening its 4th corporate retail location as part of their overall retail expansion plan.

The second West Coast store will open in Newport Beach, California’s ‘Fashion Island’ on October 1st 2011. Fashion Island is a key luxury shopping destination for fashion savvy residents and its many business driven neighbors located throughout Newport Beach, CA. To celebrate the opening, Earnest Sewn will be throwing a VIP kick-off party Friday, September 30th from 7-10pm with catering by Nirvana Grille, Cocktails, and live DJ. Earnest Sewn will also be offering 25% off all merchandise.
 
Located at 1075 Newport Center Dr. the free standing store will encompass a complete interior redesign, remaining true to the company’s American heritage store concept while allowing for the space to represent the California lifestyle. The store’s interior, much like the other three locations will have genuine industrial fixtures and artifacts from the early 1900s, as well as introduce a few distinctly ‘New York City’ design concepts into the eclectic mix of architectural styles currently featured in Fashion Island. It is an ideal location for the brand to continue to build their West coast visibility and cater to much of its existing clientele.

The 2,200 sq foot store will showcase the Earnest Sewn denim and sportswear collection for men, women and kids as well as key vendors that carry the lifestyle tradition from accessories and footwear to home accents and pet accessories.

Earnest Sewn is planning to continue its retail concept store expansion by adding an additional 10-15 stores in key cities around the world over the next 24 months.
