Fashion Meets Technology With the First-Ever ‘Scan To Give’ T-Shirt
Created by Junk Food Clothing and PromoJam to Celebrate Fashion’s Night Out Exclusively With Saks Fifth Avenue and the St. Vincent Meals on Wheels Foundation

LOS ANGELES – August 25, 2011
Junk Food Clothing, Saks Fifth Avenue, and PromoJam have partnered for this year’s Fashion’s Night Out to launch the first-ever line of ‘Scan To Give’ T-shirts with a heart, benefitting the St. Vincent Meals on Wheels Foundation.

Celebrating the night’s theme of fashion and technology, the celebrity T-shirt emporium Junk Food Clothing, has designed an exclusive line of Saks Fifth Avenue “Feed with Fashion” digital tees. Each shirt is stylishly embedded with PromoJam’s social media QR code technology to give back in a novel way.

Shoppers will have the unique opportunity to use their smartphone to scan the tee, launching a customized PromoJam mobile experience with exclusive content. By texting “MEALS” to 20222, fashion enthusiasts can donate $5 to the Saint Vincent Meals on Wheels Foundation and make a difference from their mobile phone. To share the experience further on social media, they can easily “LIKE” each partner brand on Facebook.

The ‘Scan To Give’ T-shirts will be available for the first time ever on September 8th during Saks Fifth Avenue Beverly Hills’ invitation-only Fashion’s Night Out event for $45, with 10% of the proceeds being donated to the Saint Vincent Meals on Wheels Foundation. The evening is co-sponsored by GQ Magazine, and is dedicated to featuring young professionals and select fashion brands making a change in the community.

The revolutionary tee will be available for a limited time only to the public, and can be purchased at http://junkfoodclothing.com throughout the holiday season.

This tech-meets-fashion tee is the official launch of Junk Food Clothing and PromoJam’s social QR code shirts, with more tees to be announced soon.
Each QR code tee is compatible with iPhone, Android and Blackberry 6 & 7.

Info on The Saint Vincent Meals on Wheels Foundation: More than 1 million senior citizens go hungry in the US each year because they cannot afford to buy food.  Meals on Wheels has been working hard to change that since its founding in 1947.   We deliver over 4,700 hand-prepared meals to vulnerable citizens throughout Los Angeles each day.  Often, this is the only contact that a homebound senior citizen has with another individual.
