E! NEWS EXCLUSIVE: Inside Bob Harper's Recovery: How The Biggest Loser Star Is Reevaluating His Future After Surprise Heart Attack
If you were searching for a Hollywood star who was fit, strong and healthy, Bob Harper was your guy.
Whether training contestants on The Biggest Loser, breaking a sweat to his fitness DVDs or cooking up recipes from his cookbooks, this 51-year-old was a man in more than just good shape.
But just a few days after news broke of Bob's surprise heart attack earlier in the month, fans are still trying to figure out how the fitness expert could have experienced such a frightening health scare.
"There were some warning signs in the months before this happened," a source shared with E! News exclusively. " He wasn't feeling his best, but he didn't think there was anything to be concerned about. He has never suffered from high blood pressure and didn't think he was at risk."
While his mother passed away from heart issues, our source says that she was not as healthy as Bob. And while there is a genetic connection, Bob "always tried to live his life in the healthiest way possible to avoid this kind of incident."
Through an Instagram post shared on Tuesday morning, Bob thanked fans for all their support while delivering an update on his recovery.
"I'm required to wear these monitors to see what my heart is doing throughout the day," he wrote while posing shirtless. "I feel like a robot from Westworld. Thank you all for your kindness. You have no idea how much it helps."
Fellow Biggest Loser trainer Jen Widerstrom added, "@trainerbob I think I speak for everyone when I say how truly grateful we are that you are OK, how important you are to us & this industry, and how we are all in your corner as you work back to 100% BADASS BOB."
E! News has learned that Bob remains in New York City where he has been with friends and discussing what changes he needs to do in order to avoid this from happening in the future.
"Of course he has nothing to be ashamed of, but it has definitely led him to reevaluate things and try to better understand how this happened," our source shared. "Luckily, he is going to make a full recovery but obviously it is forcing Bob to make some important decisions about his future."

What John Legend Really Thinks
E! Live From The Red Carpet Exclusive: This Is What John Legend Really Thinks About Chrissy Teigen Volunteering to Be Kim Kardashian's Surrogate
E! LIVE FROM THE RED CARPET http://www.eonline.com/news/810809/this-is-what-john-legend-really-thinks-about-chrissy-teigen-volunteering-to-be-kim-kardashian-s-surrogate
Catch an all new Fashion Policewith special guest Teyana Taylor TOMORROW, MONDAY NOVEMBER 21ST AT 8P ET/PT
John Legend isn't going to let a little tardiness keep him from E!'s Live From the Red Carpet.
The singer was one of the last to strut that hallowed walkway into the American Music Awards, but he made sure to track down Jason Kennedyand Tinashe to get a little face time before the award show. "I saw the credits rolling and I was like hey, wait a minute!" Legend joked after he made sure to get his interview slot.
Legend confessed to watching the red carpet broadcast from his hotel room while he got ready (presumably with wife Chrissy Teigen) and also took a moment to praise his upcoming performance of "Love Me Now" with collaborator Meghan Trainor. "It's going to be a great night! There are no surprises, we're just going to give them a really good show," he gushed.
"We're going to feature some of the music video in the performance tonight," he continued, alluding to Chrissy and Baby Luna's appearance in the video. "We wanted to show love all around the world from our family to different families, no matter where they live. We wanted to show it's universal, that music is universal."
Then, naturally, the conversation turned to that much-talked-about rumor that Chrissy offered to the a surrogate for BFF Kim Kardashian. To refresh you, Kardashian has been vocal about the difficulties she's endured getting pregnant and carrying her two children, North and Saint. On a recent episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, she admitted that her doctors have warned her that attempting a third pregnancy could be quite dangerous for the reality star.
So what did Chrissy Teigen do? She came out saying that she would step up "in a heartbeat" if need be. But when Jason Kennedy brought up the topic to John, things seemed like they might go a little differently.
"Umm, we haven't discussed this," John said of the surrogacy as he let out a chuckle. "We'll talk about it later," he joked.

E! NEWS EXCLUSIVE: Jon Gosselin's Lawyer
E! NEWS EXCLUSIVE:
Jon Gosselin's Lawyer Says Kate Gosselin Isn't Telling the Whole Truth About Their Son Colin
Kate Gosselin and Jon Gosselin still can't find themselves on the same page.
The mother-of-eight spoke out on Good Morning America in a pre-taped interview that aired on Monday morning. She opened up about her son, Colin, who has moved out of the house to take part in a special program that teaches him how to deal with his "educational and social challenges." In the interview, she denied Jon's claims that she had left him in the dark regarding the situation.
"We're both court-ordered not the speak about the care and custody of our children in detail," she told host Amy Robach onGMA. "I have known all along where he is. The world doesn't know. And, I'll leave it at that."
Kate—who has full legal custody of twins Cara Gosselin and Mady Gosselin, 16, and sextuplets Colin, Aaden Gosselin, Alexis Gosselinand Hannah Gosselin, Joel Gosselin and Leah Gosselin, 12—is also unfazed by any plans Jon has to take her back to court for custody.
"I've lost track how many times he has said that," she said, point-blank. "I'm really focused less on what he has to say."
However, Jon's attorney Kristen Doleva-Lecher spoke to E! News exclusively and said Kate isn't telling the whole truth.
"There is a court order and Jon is strictly abiding by it. The public doesn't know the whole story," she explained. "Jon is absolutely hurt by statements made about Colin and Jon's role as his father. I can assure you that Jon is very concerned about all of his children. He is a loving father and he is acting in accordance with the law to do what's right for the kids."
Meanwhile, Kate also spoke to People magazine about her son's treatment.
"This is all new to me, and to our family," she said of Colin living away from home. "I don't know what the road ahead entails, but I'm very happy with the care that he's getting, and am still completely comforted by the fact that he is so clearly exactly where he needs to be, getting precisely what he needs — it comforts me as a mother, because when you, as a mom, can't give your kids what they need, it is a huge comfort to find people who can."
Despite missing Colin at home, Kate says, "He's where he needs to be right now, and I can feel good about that."
